This explains what personal information AussieCadetEdwards ("we" or "us") collects when you use our site and services, what we do with it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Things you give us

We collect information you hand over when you use the site, contact us, sign up to a newsletter, join a membership, or talk to us in person. That includes:

• Account details — your name, contact details, login credentials, payment card details and order history
• Order details — name, email, shipping address and phone number when you buy or try to buy something
• Payment details — handled by our payment processors, who may also collect government ID information to check for fraud
• Transaction details — what you bought, how much you paid, and when
• Messages — your name, contact details and whatever you write to us

You don't have to give us any of this, but some parts of the site won't work if you don't.

Things collected automatically

When you use the site, we and our suppliers may collect:

• Log data — IP address, browser type and settings, and when you visited
• Usage data — how often you visit, what you look at, and how you move around the site
• Device data — device name, unique device identifiers, and operating system
• Rough location — inferred from your IP address

Cookies and tracking

We and our analytics providers use cookies, pixels and similar technology to see how the site is used, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and improve things. We also use them in emails to see whether messages are opened or forwarded.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your browser settings to refuse them. Some of the site may not work properly if you do. You can also manage your consent for this site here.

Things we get from other companies

Suppliers we use to run the store may pass us information about you. We may combine that with what we've collected ourselves.

• Understanding how the site gets used, and building new features
• Processing your orders
• Detecting and preventing fraud, and dealing with safety issues
• Keeping our users, staff, the public and the site safe

• Meeting our legal obligations, enforcing our rights, and responding to courts or government agencies
• Anything else we've specifically told you about

Anonymised data. We may strip information of anything that identifies you and use or share the result for any purpose, including with advertisers and partners. We won't try to re-identify it unless the law requires us to.

Who we share it with

We may share your personal information with:

• Our affiliates, including any subsidiaries
• Suppliers and contractors who do work for us — including Fourthwall, Inc. (a Delaware corporation), which provides our store and ecommerce platform. Others handle data storage, analytics, billing, marketing, customer service, security, fraud prevention and legal work
• Third parties, where we reasonably believe it's needed to protect the rights, safety or property of ourselves or others, or to enforce this policy or any agreement with you
• Government and law enforcement, where we reasonably believe we're legally required to — a warrant, subpoena, court order or similar
• Parties to a business transaction — if the business is sold, restructured, goes into administration, or moves to another provider
• Anyone else you've told us to share it with

Analytics and advertising

Analytics. We use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, including which site you arrived from. Those providers collect and use that information to evaluate your use of the site. To stop Google Analytics collecting your data, install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Targeted advertising. We and unaffiliated advertising companies use cookies and similar technology to serve you marketing based on where you've been, and to measure whether that marketing works. Cookies may be linked to de-identified data derived from information you've given us — for example your email address, shared in hashed, unreadable form.

To opt out of targeted advertising generally, use the opt-out tools run by the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance. For Google specifically, use Google Ads Settings.

Two caveats. You may still see ads after opting out — they just won't be tailored. And these opt-out tools aren't ours: they stop working if you block cookies, clear your cookies, switch browsers or use a different device.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information, and get a copy
• Be told how we process it
• Correct it if it's wrong
• Have it deleted
• Have it transferred to someone else
• Restrict or object to how we process it
• Complain to your local data protection authority

If you're in the EEA or UK

AussieCadetEdwards is the data controller for the information covered by this policy. Our legal bases for processing are:

• Performing a contract — doing what we've agreed to do for you
• Your consent — where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge. It applies going forward and doesn't make our earlier processing unlawful
• Legitimate interests — where processing serves our business interests and doesn't override your rights: customer service, promotions, improving the business, security, fraud prevention and handling legal matters
• Legal obligations — tax, accounting and similar

This section applies only to California residents, and only where the CCPA applies to us.

We also collect one category of sensitive personal information: your account login and password.

We get this information from you directly, from your use of the site, from our suppliers, and from other parties such as marketers and other users.

Financial incentives

We may offer incentives such as referral discounts. Taking part is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time — just stop doing the thing being rewarded. Where an incentive exists, the details will be on the site. Its value is a reasonable approximation of what the information is worth to us, based on the revenue referrals generate and what the programme costs us to run.

Your CCPA rights

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what categories of personal information we've collected, sold or shared, where it came from, why we collected it, and who received it
• Give you access to or a copy of what we hold
• Delete what we hold
• Correct anything inaccurate

You can also opt out of "sales" and "sharing" (below), ask about any financial incentives, and you can't be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Some information is exempt. Note that if you ask us to delete information we need to run the store, you may lose access to it.

You can also limit how we use sensitive personal information in certain cases — though we don't use yours for any purpose you'd be able to opt out of.

You can use an authorised agent, but you'll need to give us written authorisation or a power of attorney signed by you, and you'll still need to verify your identity with us directly.

"Sale" and "sharing"

We share personal information with analytics and advertising providers so we can understand how the site is used and show you more relevant ads. Under the CCPA, that may count as "selling" or "sharing" your information.

We also honour opt-out signals sent via Global Privacy Control. Those apply only to the specific browser or device you set them on.

We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Do Not Track

We don't respond to browser Do Not Track signals — the industry still hasn't settled on a standard. That's separate from Global Privacy Control, which we do honour.

Shine the Light

We don't share your information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Children

We don't knowingly collect or use personal information from children under 13, and no part of the site is aimed at them. If you find out a child has given us their information, email [contact@support.aussiecadetedwards.com](mailto:contact@support.aussiecadetedwards.com).

Security

We use physical and electronic safeguards to protect your information. But no system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee it.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the purposes we collected it. How long that is depends on what it's for and what choices you've made. After that we may delete it or strip it of identifying details. We may keep information longer where we need it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

Where your information goes

We may store and process your information in the United States and other countries, where data protection laws may be weaker than in your own. By using the site you consent to that.

Links to other sites

The site may link to services we don't run. This policy doesn't cover them, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information. Read their privacy policies before giving them anything.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law, in how we handle information, or in the site itself. The date at the top shows the most recent update. Continuing to use the site means you've read the current version.
